...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST SATURDAY...

A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST SATURDAY FOR
THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN FRONT AND EASTERN GLACIER COUNTY.

* TIMING AND MAIN IMPACT: STRONG WESTERLY WINDS WILL GENERALLY
  CONTINUE ALONG THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN FRONT AND INTO EASTERN GLACIER
  COUNTY THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING. THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED
  ON FRIDAY...BUT WINDS COULD DECREASE FOR A WHILE THURSDAY NIGHT.

* WINDS: WEST WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 65 MPH ARE
  MOSTLY EXPECTED THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT...BUT WIND GUSTS OF 70 TO
  90 MPH ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH FAVORED MOUNTAIN PASSES AND
  CANYONS.

* OTHER IMPACTS: TRAVELERS WITH HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SHOULD USE
  EXTREME CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY ON NORTH TO SOUTH
  ORIENTED HIGHWAYS SUCH AS U.S. 89. TRAVEL ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 2
  FROM CUT BANK TO MARIAS PASS WILL ALSO BE HAZARDOUS. SNOW AND
  BLOWING SNOW WILL CAUSE REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND SLIPPERY
  ROADWAYS BEGINNING THURSDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUING INTO FRIDAY
  NIGHT...PARTICULARLY THROUGH MOUNTAIN PASSES SUCH AS MARIAS
  PASS.

* LOCATIONS AFFECTED INCLUDE: CUT BANK...CHOTEAU...BROWNING...
  MARIAS PASS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS
OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.
